Valve’s upcoming game ‘Artifact’ is already playable, esports players are currently testing it

Back in August, Valve did the unexpected and announced a brand new game. It's called Artifact and all we really know about it so far is that it is a spin-off card game based on Dota 2. Things have been quiet since the initial announcement, but this week we learned that the game is already in a playable state, with esports teams currently providing feedback ahead of launch.

During an interview with Russian esports site, Cybersport.ru, Virtus Pro General Manager, Roman Dvoryankin, talked a bit about Artifact. According to him, the game is currently playable at Valve HQ and several esports organizations have been invited to try it out and provide feedback while Valve balances things.

Artifact is supposedly going to come out at some point next year, joining the likes of Gwent, Hearthstone and Elder Scrolls Legends. The game was announced at Valve's ‘The International' Dota 2 tournament earlier this year and the crowd response was fairly unenthusiastic. The teaser video above also has 71,000 dislikes, indicating that many were hoping for Valve to be working on something else entirely. Still, with Valve at the helm, it's difficult to imagine this game not being good.

KitGuru Says: I stopped playing card games a while back, so I'm ready for a new one to hit the scene. That said, it is a tough place to compete right now, particularly with Hearthstone still dominating the top spot. Are any of you looking forward to Artifact?

What utter nonsense this appears to be and what a useless trailer.
