Deep Rock Galactic devs really want to collab with Helldivers

Helldivers II has taken the live-service space by storm since its release last month – so much so that other studios are now approaching the team at Arrowhead publicly requesting to collaborate in some form. One such studio is Ghost Ship Games of Deep Rock Galactic fame; who streamed Helldivers II to get Arrowhead’s attention.

Ghost Ship Games are known best for their work on Deep Rock Galactic, the co-op focused extraction shooter which has gone on to sell over 8 million copies and spawning a new franchise.

The team at Ghost Ship Games recently hosted a livestream in which they played Helldivers II. As transcribed by PC Gamer, during the stream, the devs revealed that “We emailed Arrowhead a while back to say ‘hey guys, let's put our heads together and do something', but we haven't heard back from them via email. So this is our next shot.”

They continued “We couldn't think of any other way to do it than to play their game, live on stream, and say ‘Arrowhead, what're you guys doing'? Please answer our emails. Let's talk. Let's put our heads together and see if we can cook something up.’”

Arrowhead’s CEO has said in the past that he would be open to possible crossovers with other games and IPs. Fans have certainly been clamouring for it – and so hopefully Arrowhead will check their email inboxes soon.

KitGuru says: Would you like to see Helldivers II crossover with other franchises? What IPs would you like to see represented? What do you think will be the first collab announced? Let us know down below.
