The Game Awards is set to kick off later today at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. We already know that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro will be making an appearance, but it also looks like the folks at 4A Games will also be showing up. Earlier this week, Geoff Keighley confirmed that we would be seeing new Metro Exodus footage at the event.
Metro Exodus first had its surprise reveal at E3 this year on Microsoft's stage. Currently, the game is slated for launch in 2018 and judging by the footage we've already seen, the game will be a bit more open this time around, though it won't be fully open world.
You can see the original E3 reveal footage below:
We don't know what we'll see this time around. At E3, we saw one of the game's non-linear levels and witnessed Artyom leave the underground tunnels to begin exploring above ground. It was quite the graphical showcase, with amazing visuals all the way through.
Hopefully at The Game Awards later this evening we'll see more of that and learn more about the general premise for the third game in the series.
KitGuru Says: Metro Exodus looks fantastic from what we've seen so far, so I'm looking forward to seeing any more footage that the devs decide to release. Are you guys looking forward to Metro Exodus next year? Will you be tuning in to The Game Awards?
The game looks great so far lets hope it stays that way and does not take a hit in the graphics details we have seen in this trailer game play footage like a few other games have that looked great then when released they just looked less than what the trailers had referred to them looking like.
