Metro Exodus gets a new icy trailer, targets an Autumn 2018 release

Just as promised, last night at The Game Awards, 4A Games debuted brand new footage for Metro Exodus. The game had its surprise reveal at E3 earlier this year on the Microsoft stage. At the time, we saw footage showing off scenery we wouldn't expect from a Metro game. This time around, the trailer is much more familiar.

Metro Exodus is the third post-apocalyptic shooter in the series. On the graphical side of things, these games have always been stunning, but Exodus kicks things up a notch. In the new trailer, titled ‘The Aurora', we see more familiar scenery for the Metro series, with icy abandoned cities and dark tunnels:

Metro Exodus is due to release on the PC, Xbox One and PS4. At E3 it was announced that the game would be releasing in 2018. At The Game Awards last night, the release window was narrowed down further, with the developers targeting ‘Autumn 2018', which could be anywhere between September and November.
