CES: Asus gives us a sneak peek at the Zenphone Max Plus ahead of February launch

Today at CES, we had the chance to get a sneak peek at Asus's next smartphone launch- the Zenphone Max Plus, featuring a new design focusing on slimmer bezels, bigger battery life and decent performance wrapped up with a $229 price tag.

Under the hood, the Zenphone Max Plus is powered by a MediaTek processor and 3GB of RAM. You'll also find a huge 4,130 mAh battery inside too, which should be more than enough juice to keep your phone running throughout the day. On top, there is an 18:9 display running at a resolution of 2160×1080, offering a full 5.7-inch screen size in the body of a 5.2-inch phone.

Asus has been making smartphones for around ten years now but the last few years in particular have seen major improvements. This particular phone will be hitting the market in February, for $229 in the US and £199 here in the UK.

KitGuru Says: With companies like Huawei coming into prominence, Android buyers seem to be moving towards buying smartphones based on price to performance, rather than brand. Perhaps this new Zenphone from Asus will help shake things up a bit over the coming months.
