Final Fantasy XV has a PC release date, 4K requirements and 4K screenshots

Final Fantasy XV is finally coming to PC in just a few short months. The game was announced for Steam at Gamescom last year with a Q1 release date but now we have an exact launch date, alongside system specifications to run the game at 4K. There are even some fancy new screenshots floating around showing the graphics off, which are a notable step up from the console versions.

Final Fantasy XV will be launching on PC on the 6th of March. For those who missed the announcement late last year, here are the minimum and recommended system requirements:

Minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10.
  • Memory: 8GB.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-6100.
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 760.

Recommended requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10.
  • Memory: 16GB.
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 or AMD FX-8350.
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1060.

Now if you want to run the game at 4K, you are going to need a beefier PC. Here are the 4K system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit Fall Creators update
  • Memory: 16GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700 (3.6GHz and above), or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X (3.6GHz and above)
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

If you want to check out how the game looks in 4K, you can view the screenshots in the gallery below. Do note that if you have Adblock turned on, the images may not appear. This has been known to interfere with our gallery tool.

Final Fantasy XV on PC will have native support for ultra-wide resolutions, 4K, 8K, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos. On top of all of that, mod support will also be added in, so it seems that Square Enix has focused on delivering the full package all around for PC gamers.

KitGuru Says: I'm really looking forward to playing this game on PC in particular. I stopped playing on the PS4 Pro some time ago due to frame rate struggles, which will hopefully be ironed out once the PC version lands. Mod support is also potentially very exciting. Are any of you looking forward to Final Fantasy XV on PC?

feeling troubled not seeing any mention about AMD cards… errr….

  2. You actually don’t need a more powerful CPU to play at higher resolution, in fact you will most likely be GPU limited to 60FPS so a less powerful CPU would not have problem keeping up with those FPS.

  3. Remember that the game was originally developed to run solely on AMD hardware 😛
