There are many features that Nintendo Switch owners are still waiting for on the platform, from video services to its retro gaming store. It seems that players won’t have to wait too long for the company to reveal its next move, as Nintendo is revealing one later today.
Despite releasing in March 2017, the Nintendo Switch has yet to see mainstay features that most modern consoles house, such as Netflix or even its own renown retro-gaming store, the Virtual Console.
Its latest feature, however, is pegged by the official UK site to be “specially crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart,” steering away from the expected features and into something more mysterious.
Tune in here on Facebook or at youtube.com/nintendo at 2 p.m. PT/ 5 p.m. ET to discover a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch that’s specially crafted for kids and those who are kids-at-heart.

It will be game-related, rather than a video on-demand service, as Nintendo of Japan’s Twitter account revealed that it would be a “new play” experience for the Switch. This could refer to either hardware, software or something entirely surprising from the company, which does like to experiment with its fan base on a regular basis.
The impending broadcast doesn’t seem to follow in the same footsteps as the company’s usual Nintendo Direct announcements and will debut on the official YouTube channel at 2pm PT/5pm ET/10pm GMT.
KitGuru Says: Nintendo has a habit of announcing the title of new things without delving into detail until closer to its release, so whatever it may be, I hope we get a clear look at it before a long period of silence until launch. I personally think it could be a successor to the company's now defunct Miiverse or perhaps a new Miitopia. What do you think it could be?
