Sharkoon brings quiet operation and high-performance with its new Rebel F50 PWM fans

A lot of PC builders nowadays pay close attention to the case fans they put in their rigs, with the goal of improving airflow and balancing noise/performance. This week, Sharkoon is unveiling what should be its best PC fan yet, the Rebel F50 PWM.

The Sharkoon Rebel F50 PWM fan is a 120mm case fan, with an RPM range between 600 and 2000. Thanks to PWM, you'll be able to set up your own custom fan curve either through software supplied by your motherboard vendor, via the BIOS, or via a third-party fan controller software. This way, you can slow the fans down and keep your PC quiet until your hardware really starts to heat up during more intensive tasks, like gaming.

The Rebel F50 PWM is developed to aid in cooling high-end hardware and also makes a good choice for water cooling, thanks to the airflow volume of up to 142 cubic meters per hour, with a maximum noise output of 35 decibels at the highest speeds. To further minimise noise levels, the Rebel F50 PWM has rubberised contact points to reduce vibrations, as well as a decoupled mounting mechanism to avoid fan vibrations transferring to the PC case and generating additional noise.

The Rebel F50 PWM fan is equipped with a 4-pin PWM connector and a 4-pin LED connector that has a 5V-D-coded-G pinout. The fan can be conveniently connected in series with other fans in order to occupy as few connections on the mainboard as possible. The RGB LEDs can be synced with Asus Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte Fusion and ASRock Polychrome. The fan is available as both a black version and a white version, priced at €12.99.
