AVerMedia unveils new Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 for next-gen game captures

AVerMedia returns this month with the launch of its latest Live Gamer capture card. The Live Gamer Ultra 2.1, as the name suggests, uses HDMI 2.1 for capture, enabling 4K/144Hz pass-through with HDR and Variable Refresh Rate.

The Live Gamer 2.1 (GC553G2) is a high-performance USB capture card, intended to aid content creators in capturing gameplay, whether its for streaming or VODs. With HDMI 2.1, you'll be able to play at up to 4K/144Hz with HDR and Variable Refresh enabled. Your actual capture footage can record at up to 4K/60FPS.

Speaking on the new launch, Michael Kuo, CEO of AVerMedia, said: “We believe every gamer deserves the best tools to showcase their skills and passion. With this new HDMI 2.1 USB capture card, we're taking game streaming and capturing to a whole new level.”

The hardware is just one part of the equation. You can pair the Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 up with the Gaming Utility software tool to adjust RGB lighting, control settings and access the party chat feature, enabling you to capture your comms with teammates.

The Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 is available starting today, priced at $299.99 in the US.
