All the way back in February 2022, the director for the cult hit PlayStation exclusive series ‘Gravity Rush’ stated that he would like to see the franchise come to PC. It seems as though this will soon be the case, with insiders claiming a remaster of Gravity Rush 2 is heading to the platform.
As shared by a known Gravity Rush insider (via the Team Alua Gravity Rush Discord server) 2018’s Gravity Rush 2 is set to be remastered. Reportedly being revealed in May, the PlayStation 5 remaster is said to be launching sometime this Summer with a PC port also planned – though “at a later date.”
Little is known about the technical improvements being made, though the leaker is claiming that the remaster will come with a proper photo mode as well as a retooling of its previously-online features into an offline side quest.
As mentioned, back in 2022 during the series’ 10th anniversary, Gravity Rush Director Keiichiro Toyama was asked about his thoughts on a hypothetical PC release, to which he said “I think it would be a good thing to open the game up to more users. It would also be wonderful if Gravity Rush 2 ran on 60fps.”
The Gravity Rush franchise is woefully underrated, and so it getting a PC release will hopefully allow the series to get a whole new audience.
