Skyrim VR has officially launched on PC

Bethesda made a big push for VR support towards the end of last year, bringing Fallout 4 VR and DOOM VFR to PC. Skyrim also received a VR version, but it launched as a PlayStation VR exclusive. That changes today, with Skyrim VR finally launching on Steam.

Skyrim VR originally launched in November last year for PSVR. The most popular Elder Scrolls game to date was reworked, allowing players to experience the story all over again in virtual reality. Unlike Fallout 4 VR, Skyrim VR does include all of the game's DLC, so buyers will also get access to Dragonborn, Dawnguard and Hearthfire expansions.

Skyrim originally launched in 2011 and over the last couple of years, fans have joked about the number of times Bethesda has chosen to re-release the game. This time around though, it seems well worth it, as VR will bring a whole new experience to the game.

It will be expensive to pick up though. Just like Fallout 4 VR, Skyrim VR will be launching with a £39.99 price tag. The game officially releases today, with support for the HTC VIVE, Windows Mixed Reality headsets, and surprisingly, the Oculus Rift, which did not receive official support for Fallout 4 VR or DOOM VFR.

KitGuru Says: As an Oculus Rift owner, I am quite interested in trying this out, particularly if it works well with the Oculus Touch controllers. Are any of you thinking about picking up Skyrim VR?
