Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting a second year of content updates

Over the last few years, Ubisoft has been getting into a rhythm with multi-year update plans for various games. We've seen Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor and The Division all continue to receive updates after release and now, Ghost Recon Wildlands will be added to the list, with the game set to receive a second year of updates.

Ghost Recon Wildlands will have a second season of free updates, dubbed as ‘Year 2', similarly to Ubisoft's other titles. The first update will roll out next week with new missions, items, rewards and features requested by the community.

On April 10th, the first Year 2 update will roll through, featuring a new game mode called ‘Sabotage', which focuses on PvP. In this mode, an attacking team will set out to capture and hold an objective area, the defending team will try to stop them. It's a classic formula that has been used in multiple shooters in the past.

Sabotage will launch with give maps, a new PvP class and new character perks. There will also be a new mission added to Wildlands' PvE campaign. Finally, new character customisation options are also being added to the game, including the ability to customise AI teammates.

KitGuru Says: It's always encouraging to see games get continuous support, even after their first year on the market. Did many of you pick up Ghost Recon Wildlands last year? Will you be returning for the new content updates this year?
