FSP launches new CMT 330 and CMT 520 complete with disc drive bays

FSP might be best known for its power supplies, but the company also has a line of PC cases under its wing too. Today, FSP has launched its new CMT 330 and CMT 520 cases, offering two mid-tower options for gamers on a budget.

The CMT 330 takes a different approach to modern cases. We've seen many case manufacturers dropping the old 5¼” bays at the front of the case, but the CMT 330 has two of them, should you want to use them for disk drives or other things, like a bay reservoir, or a front panel HDMI connection box for VR. Internally, it includes a PSU shroud so you can hide your cables, support for large ATX motherboards and up to 8 PCIe expansion cards. You can fit in a graphics card up to 423mm in length and CPU coolers up to 163mm tall. For drives you get for 2.5-inch bays and two 3.5-inch bays so there is plenty of space for SSD and HDD storage. The front panel includes two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, alongside headphone and microphone jacks, so it meets all of the usual standards. Finally, the CMT 330 comes with an acrylic windowed side panel, rather than tempered glass.

The CMT 520 is a step up in a few ways. It contains the same internal layout and feature set as the CMT 330, but includes a few features that could be considered high-end. This includes support for RGB motherboard connections, so you can sync the fans up with Asus Aura Sync or MSI's lighting control system for example. There is a Tempered glass window on this one, which is reflected by the PSU shroud's ‘halo' cover, there is also a clear glass front panel, so you can show off three RGB fans at the front of the case. By modern standards, this case tends to have more style.

Both cases will be available at retailers shortly. The CMT 330 has an MSRP of $79.99 while the CMT 520 has an MSRP of $99.99.
