The Windows 10 Spring Creators Update has been delayed

The Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is set to be Microsoft’s biggest addition to its operating system since its Fall Update last year, housing a plethora of tweaks, options and features. Despite its impending launch earlier this week, it seems that Microsoft is experiencing a delay for the major update which is reportedly due to a “blocking bug.”

Despite using the title of Windows 10 Spring Creators Update, the build is only officially known as Version 1803 at this time, with Windows Central being first on the scene to report the delay.

Although it’s believed that Microsoft has yet to make the true cause public knowledge, the publication pins the blame on a “blocking bug” that has inevitably postponed its internal release date of April 10th to an as-of-yet undetermined period of time.

Until the patch meets internal criteria, it could be a lengthy wait until Windows 10 users see the official build of Version 1803. This is particularly of note due to the slow rate in which information is being disseminated from Microsoft, however the company has yet to officially announce exactly when to expect anything related to the update.

The company has yet to announce the official title of Version 1803, which is odd when taking into consideration the reported internal release date has already passed.

When Version 1803 does finally land, users will get access to new features such as Timeline, nearby sharing, focus assist, local password recovery and the ability to mute tabs in its Edge browser, among many other additions.

KitGuru Says: I am looking forward to the next major Windows 10 update, however I am glad that the company is focusing on stability beforehand. The wait is fine provided we get a product worth the end result. Do you mind the wait? What feature are you looking forward to the most?
