Asus details all of the ROG gear powering the Red Bull Gaming Sphere

A couple of weeks ago, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere opened up. The London-based gaming and esports venue is now open to the public, we already knew that there were plenty of powerful gaming PCs set up there, but Asus has since given us the full rundown of the hardware.

Asus partnered up with Red Bull to have ROG gear all across the gaming sphere, from £3000 custom built PCs, to monitors and keyboards/mice. The PCs themselves are built using the Thermaltake Core G21 chassis, with a Thermaltake Floe 360mm AIO liquid cooler for the CPU. Elsewhere in the system is ADATA XPG RAM, which supports Asus's Aura Sync RGB software, and a Seagate Firecuda SSHD paired with a Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD.

The ROG Strix Z370-F motherboard is at the heart of the system, alongside an Intel Core i7-8700K. An ROG Strix GTX 1080 GPU is also thrown in to help drive the ROG XG258Q 240Hz displays set up at each station.

The final finishing touches include the ROG Strix Flare keyboard with mechanical switches, the ROG Pugio ambidextrous mouse, and the ROG Fusion 300 headset. Yes, RGB is everywhere, with everything being controlled by the Aura Sync system.

At the very least, the Gaming Sphere seems to be a great place to get some hands-on time with some of the highest-end PC gaming hardware currently available.

KitGuru Says: Since I'm not local to London, I haven't had a chance to check out the gaming sphere in person yet. Though I would quite like to check out one of those 240Hz monitors. What do you guys think of the gaming sphere? Any of you planning to go there at some point?
