World of Warcraft’s next expansion will launch in August

Back in November, Blizzard announced WoW's next expansion, Battle for Azeroth, pitting the horde and alliance forces against each other once again. Pre-orders went live in January, giving players a number of benefits prior to the expansion's launch and now, we have a final release date. Battle for Azeroth will be launching in August.

Just like Legion, Battle for Azeroth will be launching in August, though it will be arriving two weeks earlier. The official release date is the 14th of August. Those who pick up the standard edition will receive a level 110 boost, and early access to four ‘Allied Races' including: Highmountain Tauren, Lightforged Draenei, Nightborne and Void elves.

The more expensive Deluxe edition includes the standard edition content and a few extras, including a baby Tortollan pet and Gilded Ravasaur and Seabraid Stallion mounts.

As always, players returning only need to pick up the latest expansion in order to gain access to all past content, including Legion. In other words, picking up Battle for Azeroth will unlock everything WoW has to offer to date.

KitGuru Says: I had a good time playing through Legion when that first came out, though I never got around to finishing all of the content. Will any of you be returning to WoW this year for the new expansion?
