Fortnite Mobile has left beta on iOS, no more invites required

Three weeks ago, Epic Games officially announced that Fortnite Battle Royale would be coming to mobile. It kicked off its testing with an invite-only beta test on iOS. Now, the beta period is over and done with, meaning anyone can download the game and jump right in.

Since launch, Fortnite Battle Royale has been one of the most popular games on iOS. It faced some tough competition when PUBG Mobile launched last week, which perhaps had something to do with the swift end to the beta testing period.

Currently, Fortnite for iOS will only work on the iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8 and X. It will also run on the iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2 and the iPad Pro.

There is still no news on when the Android version of Fortnite will be made available, but it is expected to come out within the next few months. If you need a battle royale fix while on the go, then Android users can install PUBG Mobile, which is available on both platforms already.

KitGuru Says: I've been playing Fortnite on an iPhone 8 Plus for a couple of weeks now. The game looks surprisingly good and still manages to run nicely, though I've heard it struggles a bit on the iPhone 6S. Have many of you tried out Fortnite on iOS yet?
