PUBG’s third map is getting a second beta test next week

When PUBG left Early Access back in December, players were greeted with the game's second map, Miramar. Now, a few months later, the folks at Bluehole are gearing up to launch PUBG's third map, titled ‘Savage'. The map will be getting a second round of beta testing this week, but you'll need to sign up in order to take part.

Sign-ups for beta testing will open on Saturday, giving those who play PUBG on PC the chance to try out the new map ahead of time. Savage is a tropical-themed map, providing a decent change of scenery compared to Mirimar and Erangel. This new map will also be smaller than PUBG's current offerings, measuring in at 4km by 4km, so expect plenty of action.

Testing will take place on PUBG's Closed Experimental Server, rather than the Public Test Realm. This allows the developers to limit the number of players with access to keep gameplay testing running smoothly. The test will begin on the 16th of April at 2AM UK time, and will end on the 18th of April at the same time.

Currently, the sign-up page on the PUBG website is closed, but it will open once again on Saturday at 1PM UK time. You'll need to be quick, because demand for testing out this map is high.

KitGuru Says: I'm glad to see PUBG getting a fresh new map. The fact that it is smaller is interesting too, as it will force PvP action earlier on in the match and more frequently for the remainder.
