No Man’s Sky’s 27th major update overhauls space stations and more

Somehow, the team at Hello Games are able to update No Man’s Sky at a consistent and rapid rate. Just over one month since its last major update, No Man’s Sky: Orbital is available now.

Making the announcement via the PlayStation Blog, Hello Games founder Sean Murray unveiled No Man’s Sky’s 27th major update. This meaty patch brings with it a whole host of improvements, with a large focus on Space Stations.

According to Murray, “Engine improvements have allowed us to create vast interior spaces and exterior spaces, with improved reflection and metallic surfaces.”

Its refreshed internals are matched equally by the space station’s new external aesthetics – being much larger in size and more varied in design.

This overhaul to space stations allows for a greater deal of freedom within, now offering new shops, gameplay, activities and most importantly a ship editor – ,meaning you will no longer have to rely on RNG to get the perfect ship for you.

Other miscellaneous additions and changes include a new in-depth guild system, the aforementioned engine improvements and UI enhancements – alongside “many more additions and quality of life improvements.”

No Man’s Sky is truly the gift that keeps on giving. With how much support the game has gotten, it is surprising to see that there are still new things to add and improve upon.
