Antec is continuing to grow its line up of power supplies this month with the launch of the new ‘Gamer Bronze' series. As the name suggests, these will be 80 Plus Bronze rated power supplies, with a fully modular design.
Since many DIY builders often like to buy their own custom sleeved cables, or keep their rigs nice and tidy, the Gamer Bronze series will be fully modular. The line up currently consists of two new PSUs, a 750W model and an 850W model, which should be more than enough for a high-end rig.
Sitting with an 80 Plus Bronze rating, these power supplies should deliver up to 89 percent power efficiency. They are built with Japanese capacitors, which come highly rated, and Active PFC.
For cooling, these PSUs utilise a double ball bearing 135mm fan, which should prove to be quiet during operation. The final note is that the Gamer Bronze series is backed by Antec's five-year warranty for both parts and labour, so if anything goes wrong, you'll be able to get it taken care of.
The 750W model has an MSRP of 105 Euros, meanwhile the 850W version has an MSRP of 115 Euros.
KitGuru Says: When it comes to power supplies, a lot of users tend to be fairly brand-loyal. Which PSU maker do you often turn to? Have any of you had experience with an Antec power supply?
