Prior to Microsoft's push to bring more exclusive games to PC, there was talk of Insomniac's Sunset Overdrive coming to Windows. Around the game's release in late 2014, there were marketing assets showing the game as being available on Xbox and PC. Unfortunately, a PC version never did end up seeing the light of day, but that could be changing this year.
This week, it was discovered that a PC version of Sunset Overdrive has been submitted to the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee. The game is clearly listed as ‘Sunset Overdrive PC' and the submission passed through earlier today.
This isn't exactly what I would call concrete evidence, but it wouldn't be too farfetched. Currently, Microsoft has plans to make all future Xbox first-party games run on Windows 10, so this could be a sign that the team is revisiting its back catalogue to flesh out its PC offerings.
Sunset Overdrive was one of the first major exclusives for the Xbox One this generation. The colourful open-world title was developed by Insomniac Games and ended up sparking quite a lot of interest. If the game is going to be heading to PC, then we'll likely hear more about it in a few weeks time, when E3 kicks off.
KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed the short amount of time I spent playing Sunset Overdrive, but for me, a PC is always going to be the best place to play games. If this does come to PC, then I'd certainly like to revisit it. Did many of you play Sunset Overdrive when it came out? Would you play it if it came to PC?
