The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield announced at Bethesda E3 conference

At Bethesda's E3 conference last night, not only did we get a good look at Fallout 76 and a few other games heading our way in the near future, but we were also treated to two major announcements. For starters, Bethesda has announced The Elder Scrolls VI, but the studio didn't stop there. Bethesda also announced Starfield- its first new IP in 25 years.

Starfield is set to be a first-person Sci-fi adventure game, which appears to be somewhat reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey in terms of aesthetics and soundtrack. We've been hearing rumours about Starfield for years now, and while the teaser didn't give us much information to go on, it's nice to know that the game is real. It is also great to see Bethesda venturing out into new first-party IP.

While Starfield is probably going to be great, there is one other major franchise in Bethesda's pocket that we've been waiting to hear about for years now- The Elder Scrolls. Bethesda didn't have much to show us on this front, but The Elder Scrolls VI was announced, albeit with a short 36-second trailer showing off the setting.

It is unlikely that we'll see or hear much more about either of these two games for the next couple of years, but if you are a Bethesda fan, then there is plenty of reason to be excited for the future.

KitGuru Says: The Elder Scrolls VI is sure to be a big hit, but what’s particularly interesting is Starfield. This new IP could be the start of something quite huge. What do you expect from Starfield?
