As with pretty much every publisher nowadays, Ubisoft has its own game subscription service. Known as Ubisoft+, the service has been available on PlayStation since 2022 – but only as part of your PS+ subscription. Now, Ubisoft is making the service a standalone option for players.
Ubisoft+ is a game subscription service which comes in two forms: Classics and Premium. The Premium tier offers 100+ titles alongside day-one releases and various other benefits. Classics meanwhile includes a selection of 50+ “iconic” games from the publisher’s history.
Ubisoft+ Classics was made available on PlayStation back in 2022 – though at the time it could only be acquired as a part of your PS Plus Extra/Premium subscription.
Those who wish to have Ubisoft’s offerings without needing to pay for PlayStation’s can now do so, with the publisher announcing that “Ubisoft+ Classics, a curated playlist of popular games in Ubisoft's library, is now available for standalone purchase on PlayStation”
Costing £6.99 a month, the service includes a whole host of Ubisoft titles, ranging from the likes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6 to smaller games such as Zombi and even UNO. The full list of titles can be found HERE.
It is worth noting that a PlayStation Plus Extra subscription runs you £10.99 a month or £99.99 a year, meaning you can get quite a lot more for very little extra if you opt for the full package – and can even be cheaper than Ubisoft+ during promotional periods. Regardless, it is nice to see Ubisoft+ Classics being made available as a standalone option for those who want it.
