Rockstar Dev’s LinkedIn profile points to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC

Rockstar's relationship with PC gamers has been somewhat complicated over the last few years. Red Dead Redemption never came to PC, and during the run-up to GTA V, Rockstar was stubbornly quiet. Currently, Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to launch on consoles later this year, but unlike the first game, this one may actually come to PC.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year for console owners. Currently, the game is only officially announced for PS4 and Xbox One, but a Reddit sleuth did manage to spot a reference to a PC version on a Rockstar employee's LinkedIn profile.

One programmer at Rockstar Leeds listed themselves as having experience working on Red Dead Redemption 2 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. This could have been a simple mistake, but given how much money GTA V generated on PC, it is hard to imagine Rockstar cutting out the platform entirely.

Judging by the way Rockstar handled GTA V's release on PC, it shouldn't be too surprising to see another staggered release approach. It will encourage a few to double dip, and will also resurge interest in the game a little later down the line.

KitGuru Says: Despite Rockstar's odd tactics with its newer PC releases, at least we now have some glimmer of hope for Read Dead Redemption 2 on PC- which is more than can be said for the first game. What do you make of Rockstar’s staggered PC release approach? Do you think RDR 2 will definitely come to PC, or will you be taking this with a grain of salt?
