Over the last six years, Playground Games has been helping to keep Microsoft's first-party efforts afloat with the Forza Horizon series. These huge open world racers tend to be crowd pleasers, but Forza Horizon 4 looks to be the best entry yet. The new game arrives in October and will have players racing across the roads of Great Britain, with an all new dynamic seasons system in place.
During the conference, we learned quite a bit about Forza Horizon 4 and even got a pretty good look at the game in action. This time around, Forza Horizon 4 will come with a 4K mode for the Xbox One X, in addition to a 60fps mode for smoother gameplay. In the demo below, you can see the game in action, including the new dynamic seasons system, which adjusts the weather periodically and creates different driving experiences and events to keep players coming back for more.
Forza Horizon 4 will have you driving around Great Britain, so you get the winding country roads and narrow city streets in addition to sandy beaches and snowy mountains. Forza Horizon 4’s biggest change is the introduction of dynamic seasons. The seasons will change for everyone as you play, from snowy winter to sun-bleached summer (though you don’t get much of that in Britain).
Forza Horizon 4 is set to release on the 2nd of October of this year for both Xbox One and PC. It will also be available on the day of release to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
KitGuru Says: Forza Horizon 4 looks fantastic, but I can’t help but think they didn’t show enough rain in the trailers… Are you a fan of the Forza Horizon series?
