Monster Hunter World PC graphics options unveiled

Earlier this week, we learned that Monster Hunter World will finally be heading to the PC in less than one month. We also finally received minimum and recommended system requirements for the game. The PC-specific reveals for Monster Hunter World haven't stopped there though, as Capcom has also shared the various graphics options that will be available on PC.

Monster Hunter World has previously been touted as targeting ‘visual parity' between PC and consoles, but judging by the options menus, PC gamers will have plenty of tweaks available to them. For starters you'll get your basic options like resolution, V-Sync, a frame rate cap etc. However, in the advanced graphics options menu, you'll find much more to play around with. In the gallery below you'll find the graphics menu screenshots shared by PC Gamer.

Resolution scaling is an option for those want to ensure steady performance. Users can adjust texture quality, ambient occlusion, volume rendering quality, shadow quality, anti-aliasing, LOD bias, mesh LOD level bias, subsurface scattering, screen space reflection, water reflection and dynamic range. You'll even be able to toggle rarer options like foliage sway, SH diffuse quality and Z-Prepass.

Whether or not the game will run super well on a range of PCs remains to be seen. The recommended system requirements are quite high, calling for a GTX 1060 and a Core i7 for 1080p at 30 frames per second. The PC version of Monster Hunter World will also use Denuvo DRM, which can be a red flag for some PC gamers.

KitGuru Says: It’s great to see the wealth of options available, but the performance is where it will need to really impress. Do you think that the Monster Hunter: World PC port will be a good one?
