DOOM Eternal gameplay will debut at Quakecon next month

During Bethesda's E3 showcase last month, we were treated to a fairly brief announcement for DOOM Eternal, a direct sequel to the 2016 reboot. The trailer gave us a brief tease of what to expect, but it looks like we'll get to see some actual gameplay fairly soon.

DOOM (2016) had its first gameplay reveal at Quakecon several years ago and that trend will be continuing. DOOM Eternal gameplay will be shown off live during Quakecon 2018 on the 10th of August.

So far, we don't know a ton about DOOM Eternal, but the game will presumably be landing in 2019. We do know that the DOOM Slayer will be returning, although this time he will be fighting across dimensions to defeat demons with new weapons and abilities.

While the DOOM (2016) Quakecon reveal was kept secret for a long time, DOOM Eternal will be broadcast live for the whole world to see.

KitGuru Says: I was a huge fan of DOOM, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing the sequel in action. Hopefully we'll get some release date info too, as things have been notably quiet on that front. Are any of you looking forward to DOOM Eternal? Will you be tuning in to see the first gameplay footage?
