SteelSeries Rival 310 update – Briony’s horror story

Last October, Briony reviewed the SteelSeries Rival 310 – she liked it so much, she passed it to her boyfriend who been using it ever since. 9 months on, however, her opinion of the mouse has completely changed as it is literally falling apart. She wanted to post this video to update buyers that the Rival 310 may not be all it seems on the surface.

In her original review of the SteelSeries Rival 310, Briony praised the mouse for its comfortable shape and top sensor. In fact, that made her boyfriend keep using the mouse up until now – and an entirely different side to the story has appeared.

For one, the mouse double-clicks on a very regular basis, which makes normal operation impossible. Even worse is the fact that the rubber side grips slide around and can even be peeled off from the mouse – the glue holding them in place has completely disintegrated. As you can see in the video, the glue is now oozing out from the sides as well.

Ordinarily, we might forgive one dodgy sample – no manufacturer will be able to make a product and have zero tolerance issues. However, the thing is, the problems seem quite common – as demonstrated by the posts HERE and HERE – and we wanted to let our readers know about this issue and the poor build quality.
