CaseLabs has fallen into bankruptcy and liquidation, may not ship all case orders

CaseLabs might not be a name that you hear often, but the company is renowned for its quality enthusiast-grade cases. Over the years, CaseLabs has made quite the name for itself, but unfortunately, the company has fallen into bankruptcy and liquidation. This means that CaseLabs will be closing down permanently and may be unable to fulfill all of the orders it has received.

In a post on Saturday, CaseLabs made its announcement, stating that recent tariff changes in the US and some part shortages have caused prices to skyrocket. This in turn made the business unsustainable, with some parts now being up to 80 percent more expensive. The tariffs in question likely have something to do with the US governments current ‘trade war' with China, which has seen the cost of importing rise.

CaseLabs tried to reach out for “a possible deal” that would allow it to stay in business, but unfortunately, these talks didn't get far enough. In the meantime, CaseLabs will be doing its best to “ship as many orders” as it can, but the company “won't be able to ship them all”.

Simple parts orders should all go out, but the full backlog of case orders will suffer. The post ends by saying: “We understand that there will likely be a great deal of understandable anger over this and we sincerely apologize. We looked at every option we had. This is certainly not what we envisioned. Some things were just out of our control. We thought we had a way to move forward, but it failed and we disabled the website from taking any more orders.”

KitGuru Says: I've admired a couple of CaseLabs' cases for a few years but with them being a US-based company, I never had the chance to check one out first hand. Unfortunately, it looks like that window is now closing for good. Did any of you ever use a CaseLabs case?
