AKRacing release an ASUS Republic Of Gamers chair

AKRacing has been in business since 2001 designing racing seats. They started in automotive sport seats, then expanded to gaming and office chairs. The company handles 100% of the design, product development, testing and quality control … in-house. They offer a 5 year warranty on every chair and a 10 year warranty on the chair frame. It's not something you get with other gaming chairs on the market.

AKRacing have now teamed up with ASUS Republic of Gamers to offer fans a chair that Features the ROG design and colour palette to match their setup. I spent some time at the AK racing booth at Gamescom where the new ROG chair was on display and managed to take it for a spin.

Aesthetically I think it is rather attractive especially if you like a sportier design. The black and red ROG colour scheme looks great and the logos were stitched really neatly into the PU leather. I also liked that AKRacing had opted to go for a red base as it makes this chair stand out from the crowd.

AKRacing Masters Series Pro ROG gaming chair comes with a 180 degree recline so you can kick back and a tilt angle lock to tip it back even further. It features breathable perforated PU leather, ergonomic headrest and lumbar support pillows, a deep seat for additional leg support and 4D armrests adjustable in 4 directions.

I obviously couldn't spend all day in this chair but first impressions were very good. The padding was more forgiving and comfortable than on some racing style chairs and I was reassured that as the chair uses cold pressed foam it is made to last.

I was also fan of the deeper seat as I often like to put my feet up on the chair or have plenty of space to move around. My only reservation was that the armrests don't seem to lock into place and could move around a little too freely. Hopefully I can get my hands on a review sample and spend more time with this chair to produce a full review!

If ASUS republic of gamers isn't your thing I also saw many other chairs on the stand all of which come with a 5 year warranty and 10 year frame warranty. AKRacing is also looking to update their range of desks.

Kitguru says: If you're heading to Gamescom over the next few days you can find this chair at the AKRacing booth D071 in Hall 10.1 and ASUS booth B030 in Hall 7.1. Pricing is not yet confirmed but It will be available to purchase later this year.
