The finale for The Witcher TV show is currently being written

The Witcher TV series is one step closer to filming. We learned that the series had landed the showrunner behind Daredevil back in December 2017 and the pilot script was submitted at the end of February. The team of writers have been very busy crafting the first season's eight episodes since then, with the finale now being developed.

Lauren S. Hissrich, the showrunner behind Netflix's ‘The Witcher', has been keeping us up to date on the show's progress all year long. Most recently, she tweeted out that the finale for season 1 was now in progress:

There is still quite a lot of work left to be done. The eight-episode season might be ready on paper, but casting still needs to be finalised and filming has yet to begin. Some changes to the script could also be made over the course of production.

Currently, The Witcher is set to hit Netflix in 2020. Filming should begin before the end of this year, with a few European shooting locations picked out to stay true to the books.

KitGuru Says: As someone who just got done reading all of The Witcher books, I'm very excited about this show coming to life. We've only had a few bits and pieces of information so far, but things seem to be progressing nicely.  Are any of you excited for The Witcher to hit Netflix?
