Blizzard confirms it is working on multiple new Diablo projects

Those of you who have been following KitGuru for a while will know that Diablo is one of my favourite games. Each time there is a slight inkling that new Diablo projects are in the works, I'm straight on it. This week, Diablo fans received some particularly positive news from Blizzard, as the company has announced that multiple projects are in the works.

We've had an idea that some Diablo-related rumblings were going on as Blizzard has posted multiple job listings over the last few years. However, this is the first time that Blizzard has addressed the fan base when it comes to the future of Diablo. As part of a video diary from Diablo community manager, Brandy ‘Nevalistis' Camel, we have been informed that new projects are on the horizon:

For starters, Diablo 3 is getting ‘themed seasons' starting with season 14. This new season will be themed around Greed and future themed seasons are planned to keep Diablo 3 players coming back for more.

However, there is more to it than that, as Brandy goes on to say: “We’d also like to let you know that the forges here at Blizzard are burning hot. And we have multiple Diablo projects in the works. Some of them are going to take longer than others. But we may have some things to show you later this year.”

From the sounds of it, we may get another tease of what's to come at Blizzcon in November. There have been plenty of Diablo 1/2 remaster rumours over the years, but personally, I'm hoping we'll be getting a Diablo 4 at some point in the next few years.

KitGuru Says: Blizzard seems to be buckling down on something new for Diablo fans. What would you like to see in a future Diablo game?
