IFA is coming up next week, which undoubtedly means a few new Android smartphone launches. First on the list is HTC, which has already begun teasing a new U-series device to be revealed at the event.
In a tweet yesterday, HTC teased ‘something new for U', which is set to be revealed on the 30th of August, right in the middle of IFA.

The tweet is short and leaves us with little to go on, but HTC does add that “beauty and power meet”. While HTC is remaining tight lipped, leaks have already given us an idea of what to expect. The folks at NieuweMobiel.NL released a patent photo of what appears to be the body for the HTC U12.
In a separate leak, Android Authority revealed that the U12 will have a dual rear camera setup with one 16MP sensor and a 5MP one. The display will be 6-inches with a 2160×1080 resolution and under the hood you'll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 836, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
KitGuru Says: While the leaks are likely accurate, we won't know for sure until next week. We'll be at IFA this year, so hopefully we can get some more details when the time arrives.
