Nvidia’s latest GPU drivers prep for Tomb Raider, Assetto Corsa and COD Blackout

There are some big game launches heading our way this month, which means its time for a GPU driver update. This week, Nvidia has launched its new 399.24 WHQL driver for GeForce graphics cards, bringing optimisations for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assetto Corsa Competizione and the Call of Duty Blackout beta.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the star highlight for this driver update. The game launches at the end of this week and has already been racking up some good review scores. This will be one of the first games to support Nvidia's new RTX ray-tracing features, which we are very excited to benchmark.

Aside from that, there are ‘Game Ready' optimisations for the Call of Duty Blackout beta, which we've talked extensively about. There are also optimisations in place for the early access launch of Assetto Corsa Competizione, which will also feature RTX ray-tracing, although we don't know if the feature will be there at launch.

There are two smaller updates packaged into the 399.24 WHQL driver too, this includes ‘Highlights' support for Dying Light: Bad Blood and Ansel support for Insurgency Sandstorm.

KitGuru Says: There are some good games to look forward to this month. We are particularly excited to get our hands on some of the first RTX supported games for benchmarks. Will any of you be picking up Assetto Corsa or Shadow of the Tomb Raider?
