Apple’s iPhone launch takes place on 12th September but official images have already leaked

Apple is gearing up for its next big iPhone launch but as usual, many details have leaked out well ahead of time. This week, Apple began sending out press invites for its launch event on the 12th of September. At the same time, the first official images for the iPhone XS (pronounced ten-S), and its Plus-sized counterpart leaked onto the web. Our first look at the Apple Watch Series 4 is also here.

The folks at 9to5Mac managed to get hold of the promotional image Apple will be using for the iPhone XS. In the picture, we can clearly see the 6.5-inch OLED and the 5.8-inch OLED iPhones stacked together. The image also seems to tease the gold colour option. At the same time, we also got a sneak peek at the Apple Watch Series 4, which now appears to have a larger display and new watch faces.

We'll be getting all of the official details on the 12th of September but so far, it looks like we can rest assured that most leaks up to this point have been accurate. There is also supposed to be a third iPhone launching this year, which we currently believe to be the ‘iPhone 9', rather than the iPhone 8S.

KitGuru Says: Apple's iPhone lineup will look quite different this year, with Face ID set to take over, alongside the new bezel-less design. Are any of you thinking about upgrading this year?
