Assassin’s Creed Odyssey first weekly event mission cancelled following issues

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has been out for a little while now and Ubisoft is already gearing up with post-launch content. One way Ubisoft plans to bring players back in is with a weekly event, setting players on limited-time quests to take down world bosses. The first one was due to go live this week but unfortunately, it had to be cancelled.

Ubisoft announced that Odyssey's first live event would kick off on the 16th of October, giving players a chance to earn Epic and Legendary rewards for taking down a challenging enemy. Players logged in to the game yesterday to be told that ‘Damais the Indifferent' was roaming Greece and needed to be taken down, but despite plenty of searching, Damais was nowhere to be found.

Speaking with Kotaku, Ubisoft confirmed that this was due to a technical issue that the production team is now investigating. In the meantime, a PSA has been put out, confirming that this week's live event will not go ahead as planned. Instead, he'll likely appear next week once the developers have figured out what went wrong.

The next live event for Odyssey will now take place on the 23rd of October.

KitGuru Says: I haven't had the chance to pick up Odyssey yet but I've been itching to give it a go. Are many of you currently playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey? How are you finding it so far?
