Fallout 76 beta is live on Xbox One, will arrive on PC and PS4 next week

We're coming up to the launch of Fallout 76, and beta testing has officially kicked off. Last night, Bethesda's experimental Fallout title was playable to those on Xbox One, albeit in a short four-hour window. More opportunities to play will pop up over the week, with times shifting around to accommodate for different time zones.

The first beta test was particularly unfriendly to those of us in Europe. In the UK, the first Xbox beta test went live from midnight until 4am, in the middle of the week. Hopefully more beta play times will be announced over the coming days, as we get closer to the beta rollout on other platforms.

While the Xbox One beta has kicked off, PC and PS4 players will have to wait a bit longer. We are expecting the beta to go live on the PC and PS4 on the 30th of October, which is next Tuesday. We don't know if the servers will be left live once the full rollout happens, but it does seem that Bethesda wants to limit progression and playtime by having the beta operate in small shifts.

The Fallout 76 beta does contain access to the full game and Bethesda is already aware of several bugs that players might encounter. The game will officially launch on the 14th of November.

KitGuru Says: I'm still not sure on Fallout 76 as a concept, but I'd like to give the beta a go if the servers are switched on at a reasonable time for those of us in the UK. Did any of you try the first beta phase last night? What did you think of the game?
