Netflix’s Castlevania producer reportedly set to create The Legend of Zelda series

Over the last few years, there have been numerous rumours surrounding a TV series surrounding The Legend of Zelda. Nintendo has debunked these rumours in the past but they keep popping up, with the latest reports claiming that Netflix's Castlevania producer is in talks to produce a Zelda series.

Castlevania is a great anime series based on the story from the classic games. The series is produced by Adi Shankar, who announced on Instagram that he is now “working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video game series into a series”. According to a report from The Wrap, this new TV show will adapt The Legend of Zelda.

The project is supposed to be officially announced on the 16th of November. There are still plenty of question marks floating around though. We don't know if this series will end up going to Netflix, and we don't know if it will be animated or live action.

Back in 2015, rumours pointed towards a live-action version of The Legend of Zelda but given the success of Castlevania as an anime, it wouldn't be surprising to see Zelda get the same treatment.

KitGuru Says: Out of all of Nintendo's IP, The Legend of Zelda makes the most sense for a show in my opinion and thanks to Breath of the Wild, the series is more popular now than ever. Do you guys think a Zelda series would work well? Do you think it should be animated or live-action?
