Steam’s Autumn Sale 2018 has landed

Like the falling of golden leaves, Steam prices are dropping left, right and centre for the platform’s Autumn Sale. Discounts range across 14,272 different titles, with plenty of this year’s releases available cheaper until November 27th.

Those looking to grab 2018’s biggest and best are in luck, with Far Cry 5 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider reduced by 50 percent at £24.99 and £22.49 respectively. Each has a range of special editions on offer, with the most substantial drop coming from Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s Croft Edition, falling from £82.96 to £36.57.

Monster Hunter: World receives a 34 percent cut for its base game at £32.99 and its Deluxe Edition at £42.28. Middle-earth: Shadow of War no longer has microtransactions and will set players back just £11.89 until the end of the sale. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy’s PC version launched a year after its PlayStation 4 counterpart, and it’s already seeing 35 percent slashed off from £34.99 to £22.74.

Perhaps my favourite multiplayer game of all time, Rainbow Six Siege is receiving a cut across is various tiers. Although the Starter Edition has a 30 percent reduction to £8.49, it’s highly recommended that prospective buyers opt for the 65 percent savings across its other versions. The Standard Edition is down to £11.89, while the Advanced Edition sits at £14.69. The Gold Edition sets players back £23.44 and the premium Complete Edition has reduced from £99.99 to £34.99.

Players can save up to 75 percent on last year’s Civilization VI, with the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition costing £12.49 and £17.49 respectively. By far, the biggest saving comes from the Gold Edition which packs in all Scenario Packs and its Rise and Fall DLC for just £33.14 down from £109.92.

As usual, the Fallout series is seeing substantial deals across the board, starting with 70 percent off the Classic Collection including all of its pre-Bethesda isometric entries. Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate cost just £7.49 each, while Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition and its Season Pass cost £15.99 and £13.19 respectively.

Elsewhere, No Man’s Sky is £19.99, Cities Skylines is just £5.74 and Nier: Automata is down to £19.99. On the indie front, Metroidvania-insired games Dead Cells and Hollow Knight are £17.59 and £7.25 correspondingly.

KitGuru Says: It seems that there is something for everyone here, with deals that are actually intriguing. Ever since Flash Sales went away, I’ve personally felt like Steam’s sales have been lacking but this has certainly prompted me to open my wallet once again. Have you kept your eye on anything in particular?
