You can play Cyberpunk 2077 for free this weekend

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a very long way since its launch. At this point, the game is in great shape across PC and current-gen consoles, and a bunch of overhauls and new content additions have expanded and transformed the game into one of the best RPGs in years. If you've yet to give the game a try, then there is a free weekend coming up that you may be interested in.

CD Projekt Red has announced a free trial for Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles. The game will be free to install and play from the 28th of March until the 31st, giving you a full weekend to play the game.

While it is unlikely that you will finish Cyberpunk 2077 in one weekend, you should be able to make a good amount of progress. At the very least, you'll have plenty of time to see if it is a game you want to add to your collection.

This free trial period is for the game's Ultimate Edition, which includes all content, including the Phantom Liberty expansion. Any progress made in the trial will carry over to the full game if you do decide to pick it up afterwards. At this point, Cyberpunk 2077 can regularly be found on sale, with prices dropping down to around $20.
