Leaked Galaxy S10 screen protectors show no signs of a notch

Two weeks ago, Samsung debuted its experimental notch concepts, catering to a wider range of display designs. While this prompted thoughts of the Galaxy S10 carrying the divisive intrusion at the top of its screen, leaked screen protectors suggest that Samsung is keeping its increasingly bezel-less tradition intact.

The screen protector was detailed by oft-reliable leaker Ice Universe, who has accurately debuted many smartphone designs prior to their official unveiling. The screen protector itself mirrors the bezel-less renders that have repeatedly cropped up over the past year, but there is little credibility beyond repeated speculation and the consistently dependable uploader.

Perhaps the most important thing is that the screen protector continues Samsung’s efforts to forgo the notch. There is a small cutout at the top of the bezel where the speaker is expected to be housed. It is unclear what Samsung is planning for its front-facing camera if these leaks prove accurate, as there looks to be no room in the thin top bezel , nor a punch hole for its recent in-display Infinity O concept.

There are four versions of the Galaxy S10 supposedly in the works, meaning that this could be a mid-range model that gets rid of the front-facing camera entirely. Alternatively, Samsung could have its own pop-up style camera similar to the Oppo Find X or Vivo Nex. In all likelihood, however, the Infinity O cutout is speculated to be the firm's answer to what's set to be its biggest screen-to-body ratio to date, simply covered up by the protector.

KitGuru Says: Potentially getting rid of the front-facing camera is an unlikely move, however the unprecedented effort has been asked for by many that don’t indulge in selfie culture who clamour for more screen. Do you think the recent leak holds water? If so, what do you think Samsung’s camera solution will be?
