Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 announced for 2019 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive

Marvel has been working to expand its video game offerings for some time now. The first step was Spider-Man on PS4, which turned out to be Insomniac's masterpiece. Now, in 2019, we'll be getting a new Marvel game, although this time around it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

At The Game Awards, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was officially announced. This time around, the Ultimate Alliance series is moving away from Activision and now appears to be in the hands of Nintendo:

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, although whether or not this is a timed or full exclusive has yet to be clarified. The game will continue to be an ARPG, with lots of fan-favourite heroes to choose from. You'll assemble a four-man squad battle through levels and get through boss fights.

The main story hook seems to centre around the Guardians of the Galaxy and its villains judging by the trailer. However, most of the main Avengers cast will also appear. The game will be coming out in 2019, so we should get more details on the game soon.

KitGuru Says: The Nintendo Switch seems like a great console to relaunch the Ultimate Alliance series on, although I do wonder if it will come to other platforms eventually. Did any of you play the previous Ultimate Alliance games or the more recent remasters?
