ESL announces talent line-up for Battle of the Brands charity event

Battle of the Brands 2019 kicks off this weekend, pitting Ebuyer, Scan, BOX and PC Specialist against one another in order to raise money for UK charity SpecialEffect. Hosted by ESL, the esports organiser has now revealed its full line-up of talent that will be bringing the event to life.

First up is former Ginx TV host  and Dara O Briain's Go 8 Bit co-creator Steve McNeil, known for his work across livestreaming platform Twitch. British presenter Adam Savage will be making an appearance, not to be confused with the American special effects designer that formerly hosted MythBusters. ESL commentator Dan Gasking is known for his work presenting FIFA and Hearthstone competitions.

Regular ESL presenters and Ketchup & Mustard duo Ryan and Jake Neal will be using their talents, potentially using their experience with Mortal Kombat to present the Dragon Ball Fighterz section. Lethal could tackle one of many first-person shooters as regular of the genre, but it remains to be seen whether that is Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Overwatch or a combination of the trio. ESL marketing manager Vincent “Vinno” Squires will take the stage at some point and broadcaster Inkycat bookends the roster nicely.

The second annual Battle of the Brands begins this weekend, broadcast directly from the ESL UK Twitch on Sunday 6th January. Those wishing to donate can do so via the Just Giving page, or support by following social media along with the hashtag #BotB.

KitGuru Says: It seems as though competition is heating up between the Brands on social media, as Ebuyer in particular eyes up the crown from Scan. It looks to be an entertaining day given the roster and surely one I won’t miss given the cause.
