CES 2019: Thermaltake announces hard and soft tube watercooling kits

Jumping into full watercooling isn’t always the easiest, with an intimidating amount of components across the market of varying quality. Thermaltake attempts to make this easier, taking to CES 2019 to unveil four new complete watercooling kits for both hard tube and soft tube enthusiasts, each part selected in conjunction with DIY specialists.

Both kits start off rather similar, providing the necessities to get started. This includes three Pure 12 ARGB Sync Radiator Fans, a Pacific W4 ARGB CPU Water Block, Pacific PR15-DDC Pump/Reservoir Combo, a bottle of T1000 Coolant Pure Clear and, of course, a Pracific C240 or C360 Radiator.

The hard tube watercooling kit specifically adds six C-Pro G14 PETG 16mm OD Compressions, eight V-Tubler PETG Tubes and an ARGB LED controller on top among other accessories. Alternatively, the soft tube watercooling kit runs with six Pacific 1/2” ID x 3/4” OD Compressions, two meters of V-tubler 4T 1/2'‘(12.7mm) ID x 3/4'‘(19mm) OD Transparent Tube, and an ARGB LED controller of its own.

Thermaltake’s Pacific W4 ARGB CPU Water Block features 0.15mm internal fin construction, a copper base with anti-corrosive nickel plating and high-quality PMMA cover, paired with a universal mounting mechanism that offers easier, no-tool installation. Compatibility is key here, as the component is usable with most G1/4 fittings.

Lighting up in sync with the water block is the Pure 12 ARGB Sync Radiator Fans, each containing 9 addressable LEDs for a range of effects. No additional lighting software or controller is needed, each synchronising through the motherboard’s ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB, MSI Mystic Light Sync or ASRock Polychrome integration.

The Pacific Radiator comes in 240mm and 360mm variants, built for use with 120mm high-static pressure fans. Integrated G1/4″ threads make it easy to install with a streamlined fitting process. The PR15-DDC Pump/Reservoir Combo is made from POM and PMMA and includes a 200ml long reservoir and DDC pump.

Finally, Thermaltake supplies its T1000 Transparent Coolant, designed with anti-corrosion and heat-transfer in mind. Owners can personalise their system with their own colours by adding TT Premium concentrate, with the company promising “colour stability and low viscosity that enables effective flow.”

Both Thermaltake Pacific C240/C360 DDC Water Cooling Kits come with a two-year warranty and will be available to purchase soon.
