Two Point Hospital’s free Interior Designer update adds Steam Workshop support

Sega’s Two Point Hospital managed to capture almost everything that made classic management simulator Theme Hospital a delight, from the wacky diseases to the charming comedic presentation. Fortunately for returning players, developer Two Point Studios has now introduced Steam Workshop support, allowing users to create their own content.

Steam Workshop support arrives as a part of the free Interior Designer update, which allows players to customise wallpaper, floors, rugs and pictures for a more personalised hospital. Creating walls and floors is as simple as clicking the Steam logo at the top and importing an image from the user’s hard drive or browsing the Workshop.

Making new items offers a few more options. Rugs come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from the standard rectangle, oval or circle to ones specifically intended for the corner of a room. Users can surround their pictures with wooden, expensive or square frames, or choose between canvas and poster-like variants before adding the design.

There are a number of custom items already available on the Steam Workshop for players to get started with, and more is undoubtedly on the way as fans tinker with the tools now available. For those that haven’t had a chance to pick up Two Point Hospital, it is currently 20% off on Steam’s Lunar New Year Sale for £19.99.

KitGuru Says: Personally, I don’t think a game can ever go wrong with mod support and I can only imagine the crazy things that are about to come to the game. What would you like to see Two Point Studios do with the game?
