Apex Legends has now reached 50 million players

While Titanfall 2 didn't gain much momentum, Respawn has certainly bounced back strong this year with the launch of Apex Legends. The game was downloaded over one million times within 24 hours of release, that number grew to 25 million by the end of its first week. We have now hit Apex Legends' one month anniversary, with over 50 million players now involved with the game.

Apex Legends had a simultaneous launch across PC, Xbox One and PS4, which has helped the game reach a huge player base. Respawn's Vince Zampella confirmed that over 50 million people have now played the game, resulting in 31 billion pings placed, 1.23 billion ultimate abilities activated 170 million player respawns and a few other interesting stats:

At this point, Apex Legends is growing faster than Fortnite, which took a few months to hit the 50 million player milestone.

As for future content, Apex Legends is due to get new solo and duo game modes, a new character and competitive seasons supported by a Battle Pass system for increased rewards. The first season kicks off this month now that everyone has had a chance to get used to the game.

KitGuru Says: Respawn's ability to keep up with Apex Legends' swift growth is very impressive. Even Fortnite had connectivity issues early on, whereas Apex has had no major outages so far. Have many of you been playing Apex Legends lately?
