Thermaltake is updating the CT120/140 fans with new magnetic connectors. The new CT EX ARGB Sync fans feature the enhanced MagForce 2.0, improved cooling capabilities, and nine addressable RGB LEDs for smooth lighting effects.
The new MagForce 2.0 Quick Connect Design has larger pin contact pads that prevent misalignment and make installation easier. The CT EX fans can be easily attached to each other using magnetic connectors, eliminating messy cabling.
Compared to earlier CT series models, the CT EX offers improved cooling performance and a noise level of just 28.5 dBA. The CT120 EX ARGB Sync can generate 68 CFM of airflow and 2.95mm-H2O static pressure at 2000 RPM, while the CT140 EX ARGB Sync can deliver 90.3 CFM of airflow and 3.07mm-H2O static pressure at 1800 RPM. Moreover, the CT EX fans have a strong frame and a redesigned external design that provides stable fan operation and prevents air leakage, making them suitable for cases and radiators. The rubber pads on the corners of the fan also reduce vibration and noise.
The CT EX has nine addressable LEDs and supports 5V motherboard RGB lighting software, which allows users to easily customise lighting effects with 16.8 million colours without installing additional software or controllers. Both 120mm and 140mm models come in three-unit packs, with the former priced at £49.99 and the latter costing £54.98.
