Back in April, the team at Warhorse Studios officially announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – a sequel to their highly-successful debut title from 2018. Initially planned to launch this year, the game was delayed to the 11th of February; clashing directly with Microsoft’s Avowed. In a welcome and surprising move, the game has now had its release brought forward slightly.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Warhorse studios revealed that “Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will arrive at your homes on FEBRUARY 4TH 2025! With the release date pushing one week forward, we have a bunch of more exciting news coming in the following days.”
As mentioned, Kingdom Come Deliverance II was set to clash with Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed, which is planned to arrive on the 18th of February (or the 13th for those who purchase the premium edition).
Given the scope of Kingdom Come Deliverance II, allowing players that little bit more time to enjoy the game ahead of Avowed’s launch is welcome to see.
That said, considering the fact that the first game has sold over 8 million copies, the reverse-delay may actually wind up helping Avowed more so than Warhorse Studios’ own title. We will have to wait and see.
