Report claims AirPower, 2nd Gen AirPods and new iPad to launch in March

Apple first announced its Airpower wireless charger alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone X in 2017. Since then, Apple has been silent on the subject and reports have claimed that delays were caused by an ambitious design that was doomed to fail. Whatever the hold up was, it looks like Apple may have found a way to move past it, with Airpower now rumoured to be coming in March.

Over at iPhonehellas, supply chain sources are claiming that second-gen AirPods, AirPower wireless chargers and a new entry-level 9.7-inch iPad are all set to launch in March. Apparently, Apple will be holding an announcement event in mid-March, with pre-orders set to go live on the 22nd of March. Shipping will then begin on the 29th of March.

It is worth noting that this particular site doesn't have much of a track record but there has been buzz surrounding new AirPods and an upcoming iPad for months now. We've also been due to hear about AirPower for well over a year.

If this latest leak is legitimate, then it won't be long before we have more details from other sources.

KitGuru Says: AirPower is the last piece to tie Apple's iOS ecosystem together. It is surprising that it has taken this long but hopefully Apple will finally be ready to launch soon.
