Join KitGuru’s Discord channel!

One thing that KitGuru prides itself on is interaction with our fans, hearing what readers have to say about our content and the recent rumblings in the technology and gaming world. In an effort to do more with this, we’d like to invite you to join our new Discord channel, primed for discussion, giveaways and new ways of distributing content.

There’s something for everyone in the KitGuru Discord server, from the general gamer to the overclocking enthusiast. Discord also acts as a brand new way to distribute our news and reviews, without being bogged down by pesky algorithms. We expect to evolve the server over time, embracing new features and eventually debuting our own emotes. Of course, suggestions are welcome.

We've also put a little extra in for our Patreon backers, who will gain access to a private chat away from the general chat and the ability to enter exclusive giveaways. Backers will have to ensure that their Patreon account is successfully linked to their Discord account in order to reap the benefits. To do this, head to your Patreon page, hover over the profile bubble in the top right corner and navigate to ‘my profile settings’. From there, click the ‘Apps’ header and connect your Discord. Alternatively, users can flaunt their support by posting photos of their KitGuru merch.

All users need to do to join is click on this link. It will bring up the platform on your default browser, asking you to either log in or confirm your user name before proceeding. Alternatively, users of the desktop application can add a server by clicking the ‘plus’ symbol on the left hand side, entering the following link: https://discord.gg/4cqFSWY

While we ask that users make themselves at home, we do enforce the rules pinned to the #rules channel. This asks users to be respectful and inoffensive in their names, posts and conduct when talking to one another, as well as using the appropriate channels and not spamming. Once you’ve joined, feel free to introduce who you are in the #introductions channel and jump right into chatting.
